Description of Club: Aikido means Harmony - mind and body together, a path to follow, a way to go. The gentle art, Aikido grew out of the combat disciplines of the samurai. Founded in 1925 by Master Morihei Ueshiba, Aikido combines rigorous physical training and mental discipline. The MSU Aikido Club was founded in 1973. All classes are appropriate for beginners and visitors are welcome. "The secret of Aikido is to harmonize ourselves with the movement of the universe and to bring ourselves into accord with the universe itself." - Morhei Ueshiba, Founder of Aikido
